I was going to try using Insulation foam. I felt that it would get damaged in the high-traffic areas. Look back at this project, I should have used the foam for the upper panels and wood for the areas that could be bumped into.
I did end up using foam for one of the panels that covers an outlet. I put rare earth magnets on the back side for easy removal. It will be interesting to see how the pain holds up.
